How do refunds impact settlements?

Refunds to buyers occur only when a seller fails to fulfil an order correctly - such as shipping damaged, incorrect, or incomplete items, or failing to dispatch on time. When a refund is issued, Miraqls will apply a penalty to the seller to recover the loss incurred.
Refund-related penalties directly affect settlements in the following ways:
  1. Penalty Deduction
    A penalty amount will be recorded under the “Settlements” section to compensate for the refund issued to the buyer.
  2. Impact on Seller Rating
    Repeated fulfilment failures and refunds will negatively impact your seller rating, which may affect your visibility and trust on the platform.
  3. Settlements Put on Hold During Disputes
    If a buyer raises a dispute on an order, the settlement for that order will be temporarily held until the dispute is resolved.
    If the dispute concludes in the buyer's favour (refund), penalties may apply.
